One.

I know it's been nearly a month since my last decent post but this one is not going to be much better.
Right now we are living like cavemen with no Internet or TV so I'm using what little bit I get on my phone to write this.
Anyways, that's not the reason for this post. Today my baby turns one. I really can't believe where the time has gone this past year but it has been one amazing year.
Seriously.
This girl has taught me how to love.
Happy first birthday Sage!

*And since we have no Internet, no pictures today. We'll eventually have something out here in the sticks and then I'll post all about the festivities :)*

3

Three years ago I married this guy. My best friend. Cheesy, I know, but he really was my best friend and then we started dating.

Best. Idea. Ever.

In three years we have been to Vegas twice, Jackson Hole, Hawaii, and gone camping a handful of times.  We've purchased tennis rackets, racquetball rackets, bocce ball, multiple games, a car, lots of movies and dinners for two, and an outrageous hospital bill for the this little one who has made us happier and closer than we could have imagined.

We are happy together.
And that's the way it's supposed to be.

I love you husband!

11

11 months ago today my babe was born and boy how the time has flown!  I love the age Sage is right now because she is starting to understand what no means and she tantrums every time we say it.  It's hilarious.  If she doesn't get her way she's been known to tantrum, bite, crawl away screaming, or flop on the floor like a fish out of water.  Yup, that's my babe and I love her to death.

Most recently she stands up by herself, walks behind practically everything, eats everything adult {with the exception of formula, which she hates.}, and sleeps like a champ all. night. long.  It's wonderful.  She's wonderful.

She loves her sunglasses, the kitties, the bath, her walking dino, and of course her dad {even though she prefers momma ;)}

Yesterday she made it through all of church with only one cry when she fell down.  She entertained all the ladies in Relief Society as well as the rows in front of us and behind us in Sacrament meeting.  I tell ya, this girl has personality written all over her.

We're going to get family pictures taken at Fotofly for her birthday and I can't wait.  Until then, my sloppy, blurry, out of focus pictures will have to do.

This is how we eat binkies at our house.

The many sleeping habits of Sage

This is how we look after our naps.
Being weird.
And a cute one to wrap things up.

Happy Monday!

Truth Tuesday.

Here are my truths/complaints/secrets revealed.
  • I want a house. Really, really bad.  Because when we get a house we can have storage, and 4 bedrooms instead of 2.  And we can have more kids.
  • I want another baby.  Really, a house is the only thing holding me back.  Because I know that we can't possibly squish one more thing in this tiny 2 bedroom apartment.
  • I LOVE staying home all day with Sage but really would enjoy getting out once in awhile for some "adult" time.
  • My house hasn't been deep cleaned since Sage arrived.  I've organized and cleaned the surface of everything, but deep down, it really needs a cleaning.
  • I hate cleaning.  Which is why my previous truth is what it is.
  • My visiting teachers are coming over tonight, and I don't want them to.
  • I hate Utah for one reason.  The ridiculous cost of registering/inspecting your car, yearly.
  • I'm scared to death of taking Sage off of baby food/formula.  I eat unhealthy as it is.  Now I have to try to feed Sage healthy?  I don't think I know how to do that.
  • I love food.  Chips, crackers, ice cream, hamburgers, fries, salads, popcorn.  Lately this is what I have been eating.  Go ahead and judge.
  • My favorite show(s) are Grey's Anatomy and American Idol.  Quinn hates them both.  So I never get to watch them.  Unless I throw a tantrum and act like a child..which I usually do.
  • And lastly, I love being a mom. And watching Sage grow and learn and make messes...like below.

Yes it's blurry, but aren't all of my pictures?  I'm not a professional. I guess that's one more truth to add to my list.

Happy Tuesday!  What are your truths for today?

What do we do at our house?

We walk.

Stairs.

Quinn and I have been holding off on buying a gate to block our stairs for some time now.  The problem is with our stairs we'd have to buy a gate with a door on it and they cost $40.  Something we think is a complete rip off.  So rather than waste money on a gate that we'd only use for a few months we decided to teach Sage to climb the stairs instead.  The thing is, this girl can climb.  She's been playing at the base of the stairs for a few months now and has finally found the independence and freedom to climb them.  Granted, we still have to hover right behind her because she's still a little tipsy here or there, but the babe is awesomely coordinated, something she didn't inherit from her mother (who falls up the stairs, often.).

Enjoy.
And Happy Monday!

As of late.

Lately I've been lazy.  And I mean really lazy.  Sage has been sick and not sleeping.  Then I got sick and couldn't sleep.  So the house is a mess and I'm still not up to fixing it up.  Eventually.

Last week Sage got a new tooth, her top left center.  And it's ridiculously adorable.  It's about as big as her two bottom teeth combined.  It's huge.  People now lovingly call her Buckwheat. Yep its that big.

Sadly, I don't have a picture of it. Because Sage hates having her face touched in any way.
So just imagine in your mind how cute it is.

This however, I can get a picture of.  Sage LOVES to stand up.  She pulls herself up to anything that she can and has now become quite a nuisance at messing everything up that she gets her hands on.

Here she is attempting to pull out Bobdog's fur, or yank on his tail, or poke his eye.  I'm not sure which. Poor poor kitties, lucky lucky Sage.

5/6ths.

5/6ths of a year is Sage's current age.  I like this better than 10 months, for some reason it seems smaller, younger.

And I need my baby to stay young..not grow up like everyone else does.

And in case you're wondering what 10 months does to you, take a look below.

Now.

This makes me ill.  Please excuse me while I go throw up.
